The Northcentral Montana Healthcare Alliance is a collaborative
consortium of 15 healthcare facilities. The mission statement of the NMHA
reads:
“To collaboratively develop strategies, synergies, relationships,
products and services, that will improve delivery, access and quality,
while controlling the cost, of not-for-profit healthcare in all Alliance
member communities.”
The membership of the NMHA includes Montana’s largest tertiary
hospital, a 49 bed rural hospital, a freestanding nursing home, two Indian
Health Service facilities, and ten Critical Access Hospitals.
Healthcare in rural and frontier communities is an absolutely essential
component of the quality of life for rural residents. Most of the NMHA
member facilities are the largest employer in the community and provide
the best jobs. Their survival and vibrancy are the lifeblood of many small
towns. The NMHA was established to do whatever is necessary to support and
stabilize the critically needed services and programs of frontier
healthcare providers.
This site, established primarily for the use of its members and their
communities, will provide access to information about current services,
programs and projects. The NMHA is a partner of the REACH Montana
Telehealth Network (RMTN), a service of Benefis Healthcare in Great Falls
and this site will link to the RMTN as well as well as other sites that
hold pertinent and important information for providers and residents of
rural Montana.
